That jabroni made a nice profit off that exact saw because he's smarter than your average jabroni. BTW it wasn't locked up.

lol, yep that'd be me. It was the first clam shell I had done. Be into a bunch more since then. Buy, fix, sell hobby

I even buy locked up saws if the price is right. Some of them aren't hard to loosen up. Some of the newer ones are a bit harder to find parts for and some have no aftermarket yet.

When I read locked up I am always assuming it was straight gassed. There are some models that I stay away from because once they are repaired I break even.

There's a couple I ended up at the even mark but I look at it as I'll make it up on the next one. Those home owner saws sell pretty good here so I repair a bunch of them and flip them.

I once bought a Super XL that seller said was locked up...turned out to be a bolt on the coil got caught in the flywheel, stopping it. I put the bolt back where it belonged and fired it up!
