ms 460 sproket cover

does any one know the part number for the sproket cover for the full rap handle bar it has the larger chip defelctor.

I am not sure if the MS460 and the older 046 share the same parts when it comes to the side covers. According to my spare parts list for the Stihl 046, there are 7 different models of 046's and some have different part numbers for the same parts description. The book shows one cover that has the larger chip deflector that you spoke of so I will assume that is the one you want. Part number for that cover is 1122 648 0401. The chip deflector for that cover is 1122 656 1510, if you just want the deflector, but I don't think it will fit the other style cover, at least it doesn't appear to be compatable. Both those parts are listed for the "046 Magnum R" only. The other models have different part numbers. By the way, my part book is for year 2000. Let me know if you need any of the other part numbers. Hope this helps. Dave

I got it from a Stihl dealer that was disgarding some older manuals. It has pictures and part numbers along with descriptions in three languages. He also had a service manual for that saw. I have a 046 so I thought I would get the manauls to keep on hand. I can email you a facimile of these pages if you need them. Dave

The same cover will bolt on a 260 to 660, but the larger deflector would be best used on the larger saws.
