Been rebuilding 4 MS200T saws. 2 are done and 2 are still in progress.
The 4th one was pretty beat up and missing a bunch of parts, including the clutch. I was wondering if I could use a 192T (1137) clutch on the MS200T (1129) since I have a few of those spare from donor saws.
I weighed the 192T vs the MS200T clutch and it's 106g vs 120g. The shape is also slightly different and while the spring holes are the same distance the part numbers for the springs are different (0000 997 5625 for the 192T vs 0000 997 5515 for the MS200T).
These saws will be used for my buddy's tree service company so they will definitely be put to the test.
Just curious if anyone has done this before and if so what was your experience. I don't mind spending the money on a new OEM clutch but if I can re-use a part that I already have I'd like to do that. I don't forsee working on or needing too many 192T clutches in the future and I have 3 of them.
Here are a few pics.
Would appreciate any input. Thank you.
