MS200 High Speed Limiter caps

Just set the idle speed and readjusted the lo speed settings. The problem next is Stihl sets the high speed out against the limiter and I would guess for emissions, it runs a bit on the lean side. I would think this is common. Can someone please tell me the best way to get to the limiter caps to snip the ends. Did not want to do much without some advise, as you guys have loads of good knowledge.

The new limiter caps are more user-friendly and easily removable. remove the rubber access cover and then reach in with needlenose pliers and slide the limiter cap off the adjustment screw. After you're done adjusting, slide it back on.

heat the end of a small screw driver and reach in and melt the ear's off.

good idea, I was worried about the little rubber boot but now I see it for what it is. Thanks

I pulled it off and used a belt sander. Smooth quick, no melted plastic.
that work's, but if not careful could bend needle if not useing the tool made for that. doesn't take much to melt the ear's off.
