Want to Buy MS361 or 357XP

My 361 was noticeably stronger than my coworker's 357. For me, the 361 is one of the best saw made by Stihl.

My two 361s were turds (stock). Sold both for $400, $425. The $425 saw was in very nice condition and ran perfect. I cannot figure out why so many people say they are the best saw Stihl ever made? I just don't get it.

Came across a 361 locally that looks like it was used to cut 1 tree guy is asking $450 if I can get it for $400 I'm guna bite. My brother has a 361 and I fell in love with the saw after running it.

I have a stock '08 MS361 and it's been the best saw I've had...for a while it seemed like you could feel it getting stronger/loosening up with every tank.

Friends of mine are husky and jonsered die hards and they shake their heads in disbelief everytime they see me use it or I let them run it...

If I could only keep one saw it would probably be my 361.

If you dont mod the muffler on a stock 361 they run like turds IMO. Open it let it breath and adjust the carb they become a whole different saw. JMO.

Absolutely love the 562xp Russ, but still have a soft spot for the 357/359...

I have both the 361 & 357…the 357 is faster imo. I prefer it over the 361.

In fact I've looked locally for a new 357 & can't find any. I guess they're gone for good

If you do run across a 359, it's worth a try. Muff modded I feel they are a little stronger than a 357xp.
