i was looking into just trying the auto tune . thats all i have a early 441 and it runs nice .

440 and 460 are not auto tune. But if that's what you want? It's hard to settle.

Wearing my SawTroll hat, the C does not designate M-tronic or Autotune in a Stihl saw. M does. They had a C model 441 that is not M-tronic, the CQ (recently dropped from the new saw list in the US). You need to specify CM... lest you wind up with what you do not want. I would want the 461 or a 440 over the 460 myself.

Did you find your saw yet? I have an extremely nice Treemonkey ported 440 that I would be willing to sell.
