Is that a CAT muffler or is #19 used on all versions? It is there to keep from boiling the oil in the oil tank. Looks thicker than most I have seen. Usually these are just reflective foil with PSA adhesive. So, I understand, my saw will be fine w/o one.
That said, I would still like to know what material they were made out of and how thick?
They are NLA from Stihl and I have not spotted one for sale, otherwise.
Thanks,
Roy

It may be a change because the 441 is a strato-saw and they run considerably hotter.Yes, I have seen Stihl saws with that foil you mention. This seems to be something else.

Looks like the thick heat pad I'm going to be buying in bulk to use on milling saws to get heat away from the oil tank. Also found reflective heatshield tape in rolls now that holds up to fuel and oil.The FSM shows where it goes. Just not what it's made out of.

That will take some doing. It's buried in saved links to Amazon or Ebay. It goes in the cart and off to the side for later purchases.Link, please.
See post #2 and #8.Ok. It's a heat pad intended for what primary use?
I was writing about the pads Lightning is buying on Amazon. I am thinking, they are not saw parts.See post #2 and #8.
