MS460's

I went by my brothers saw shop yesterday and they were warming up about twenty brand new MS460's for the forest service. I couldn't convince him to let a couple of them "fall off the truck" though.

Wow! I thought all they used were 310's and 390's.

460's is more incentinve to work for 'em!

We got alot of big ponderosa and fir here (over 30"). Plus I think they are gearing up for fire season which is going to be bad if it doesn't rain soon.

Heck, all we use for fires are 44's. No way I'm packing an extra pound for 16 hours a day all over a mountainside for a power increase that'll come in handy 1% of the time. We have a cache of about 45 saws here, and we have the most acres burned per year on the Wenatchee NF. Must be a pretty well-to-do district to buy 20 460s.
