Gypo Logger
Timber Baron
My neighbour asked if I would look at his Super 70 Muckulook, cause it wasn't running right, so after doing the usual stuff, I realized it needed a carb kit. So I got that done and removed the bolt on reed valve type muffler baffle. After that, and fixing the bar and installing a new sprocket and chain, I cranked it up and it started first pull and ran nice, but the pull cord slid out of the spool- sweet!
Anyway, I took the gizmo apart and the spool is so thin with no outside whole for a knot, that a knot wont fit between the faces of the spool.
My stupid question is: how can I retain the cord in the spool? There are two channels for the cord in the centre of the spool, but like I said, the spool is too thin to accept a knot. I tried melting the end of the cord to make it thicker, but it won't do the trick.
Any help is appreciated, cause my neighbour is horney about getting his saw back and I think his mother has some Lucious Sugar Maple, hence my need to please.
