just a quick question, what do you guys do if you have mud season off,i usaly do tree work or help work on the equipment

We just work around it here. The mailman keeps bringing more bills so we have too.
We do put brush piles under the tree and make target drop spots...that helps.

Mud season is right now for us up here and we're shut down till May sometime or till it dries up. I'll take the op too get my firewood bucked/split/stacked and do odd jobs till whenever. When in doubt, I can always dig a few tides of clams for a dose of reality and a few bucks.

Drink a #### load of beer and make deeper ruts. . . .but not really. i usually work up firewood, lookin to do about 25 or 30 this year. just enough to fill the orders and 6 or 7 for our own.

mud season here, at least at the lower elevations, most of the high country is closed off until june. some areas we arent allowed to cut until july 1 due to elk calving.

good time for mechanical projects. i know one trucker who takes the body off his log truck power washes and repaints everything every spring. frame rails, underside of the body, etc. that truck has no rust! also dont things like skidder engine rebuilds, or swaps. good time for making firewood if thats part of your business.

i make maple syrup. didnt get a chance to this year, really disappointed by that. looking to make it a money making venture in the future. anyone else play in liquid gold?
