I've been reading all threads about muffler-tuning and just want to know if there's anyone with experience of tuning the european style muffler on the Husky 372/385. I know for a fact that the european style is more effective than the EPA approved, the one with the outlet on top as opposed to the tube-outlet on the upper left corner. So does enyone know if I still gain some effect opening up the muffler? I attach a picture from the Spare Part chart showing both types.

Thanks,

The jungle muffler for any saw isn't really anymore or less restrictive usually than the North American versions, it just doesn't have a spark arrestor ( they'll change that after some poor bastard catches a Wooley Monkey on fire ). Yes, you would benefit from opening up your jungle muffler, I would say add a second pipe ala gypologger's post on his 357.
