Hey,I was just wondering how much of a difference it makes to modify the muffler on a 372 or 385 Husky also has anybody already did this on there saws and if so where on the muffler did you make the mods, what size hole's,etc. Also do you have any pic's. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can gain a bit by doing the muffler, The Huskies seem to benefit a bit more than other saws, the usual trick is to drill a hole down in front, where the front brace is, and then put a spark arrestor between the muffler body and the brace, as shown in the attached picture.

Another trick, which is more desirable, is to purchase a Husqvarna 262 style exhaust deflector, and mount it on the upper right of the muffler, pointing forward. This is cleaner and will pass most inspections if done right.
