I climb for a municipality and we are having some issues with both the city and our union representation. I would like to research what other municipal pay scales are for this position in order to better present our case. any help would be appreciated.

basically for the positions in the field from intro level to lead on the tree crew, (all positions require a CDL license)

No offense, but I think you would be best served by going in to the city sites of any cities that are hiring right now. If you walk in to a meeting and say, "I should get paid more because everyone on Treebuzz said I should be"...well, that doesn't sound very official.

But it might have a little more weight if you go find all the pages like this https://personline.lacity.org/job_list/index.cfm?FuseAction=Showspec&CC=3114 and print them up and bring them in.

Ditto what Nick said, look for similiar job titles in similiar median income cities and make your comparison. Most major cities have websites with help wanted and also human resource divisions with salary ranges. You could never make an arguement for a New York City pay scale when you have a Virginia average median income. Cost of living is much different. Good Luck.

What is your pay scale and what benefits do you receive???? The City of Worcester Forestry Dept. starts at $17hr and dental/health/3weeksvacation/and loads of sick time. The Job requires CDL and climbing and knot proficiency test
