Hey guys, bought my first chipper the other day. It's a morbark 2060d cyclone with the Wisconsin 4 banger. I've played around with it at the house a few times, but really don't know how to adjust and maintain it. I emailed morbark for a manual but I'm not going to use it until it has been properly serviced. Any tips, tricks or recommendations? What oil to use and how much? It only has 530hrs on it. The knives look good and one side is still new. How do I just the disc to anvil clearance? Thanks for any advice.
Chris.

Hi Chris,

The Disc chipper has an anvil on the side and the clearance between the knife and anvil is about as thick as a credit card. You will see 1 or 2 eye bolts to adjust the anvil.

Wisconsin motors have been known to foul spark plugs. Make sure it is running properly and stop it if you think you fouled a plug as it may blow the motor. I would use a non-detergent oil in the engine since it's a gas engine. I believe the recommended oil change is to occur at 150 hours. Keep those air filters clean and the bearings greased and it should last you a long time.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info Dave, I appreciate it. What weight oil would you recommend?
Chris.
