My little Pioneer P20 was an angry beaver in comparison to my echo 650vl and husqvarna 372xp I was playing with today in green oak. Sharp Chains rule

As the title states, I was really surprised how much the little P20 saw cut today and it didn't seem to be any slower. It did have the sharpest chain and it reminded me how important it is to file the chains more frequently than I have been. Most of the wood was 24 to 30 inches in diameter and it was so green the water was dripping out after the bucking cuts were made.

Yeap! Being a wet shaver ( using a traditional double edge razor blade ) I'm pretty much aware that is the blade that does the actual cutting and not the razor .

Regarding cutting wood ,the cutters do the actual cutting and not the power head .
But the larger the cutters and the longer the chain ,the more powerful the chainsaw has to be .

A sharp chain is the " half of all ".

Some small rounds for a foot path and my lowered GTI with wood and tools and saws lol.
