Hello all. My first post on the site and just wanted to let you all know how great a resource this board is. I am sure you all know that but I am thankful non the less. I am a collector. I really like the old vintage stuff and I am always on the look out for them. The bigger and uglier the better :D . I have not yet convinced my wife I NEED 30+ saws, some of you folks know what I am talking about, but it's alright. I like em none the less and have I place I can store em at work and hide those jewels from her. It really keeps the stress level down round here. Anyway, thanks for reading and thanks for all the help I am sure I'll need in the time to come. Here are a few of my favorites in the brood. I am no where near loyal to 1 brand as you will see.

McCulloch ProMac 55, Mac110, 10-10, 4 Mini Macs from different years (cute lil guys)
Got a couple newer model Poulans and a 5500- This was my Grandpa's and he cut up the muffler and worked the saw over the day he brought it home new. Cuts like a madman.
Homelite 240, 330, 350, 360, XL12, Super XL, C5, and a c7.

And my FAVORITE is my old Strunk Speed Demon Machete. This thing is a real brute and to hear one of these old saws chuckin chips is great.

All of these run great, thanks in part to you folks, and I take them out to chunk up some wood on a regular basis. Got alot of project saws still to get goin though lol. Also take note that I don't own any Stihl or Husky saws. Not because I dont like em but because I cant afford them. Not one of my saws cost over $20. This is a great hobbie for me so far.

I need some more saws.

Welcome

Welcome to the madness, Sounds like you got some real good deals if you got all the models you listed for 20 bucks or less... enjoy the site:)

Thanx

Thanks for the replies. And yes it's in my blood lol. Also, edritchey, I have got some great deals but thats the benefit of small town livin in the middle of a bunch of other small towns. Lots of old flea markets and junk stores to dig around in. Of course, buyin a saw in basketcase form helps keep the cost down to :) . Also nice when you get donations from family, I got most of the Homelites that way.

Post pictures. It's always interesting to see what the antiques look like.

btw, welcome aboard.
