I picked up a 880 yesterday. A good friend of mine had it and decided it wasn't really what he was wanting and we worked out a deal, I traded a couple guns for it. This saw has only had a couple tanks of fuel run through it. I'm looking foward to retiring the 066 on the mill, and even more excited I'm not as limited to the size of wood I can mill now.

What a nice saw. Great find. Id sure like to play with one for a few hours to know what I've been missing ..dgarrett

That's way too shiny to become a milling saw! Congrats on the 880, you'll like it. Just watch your wrist and shoulder starting it, they've got some serious snap...

Thanks, Welding Fixture? You talking about the log splitter, that looks like the tig welder is sitting on it?
Yeah, I wasn't sure if that was used for welding or not, but see that it is a log splitter now, gink...did you make that yourself?

Yes sure did, it's on it's second phase for the 4 -way. I had to revamp it becasue teh first one I made I didn't like how it spilt and seen many oppurtunities for improvement. I still have to add a cylinder for the 4-way and spool to operate it.

Yes I'm still debating on wether to sell it, it's not going to get used very much now.But it isn't costing me anything to keep it. It did a good job on the mill though, if this 880 didn't come avaliable I wouldn't have wanted to get rid of it?

Little off topic but what would you value the 880 at? I've got my eye on one that looks pristine for 800.
Congrats on the new saw Gink!

Seeing how I know the saw from the day it arrived and have used it about as much as the original owner. I would bet that saw has seen 2-3 tanks of fuel. I think he paid 1700.00 or so for it (well the insurance company did) I think it would be worth 1200.00 for the one I got. I think if you could pick it up for 800.00 that would be a great buy! Blsnelling wants like 700.00 for a 066 to put it in perspective.
