My new saw well old PIONEER FARMSAW P41

Came across this old Pioneer P41 ChainSaw

Heres how it went

when i bought it the recoil /rope handle was ripped out
spark plug hanging out of her..chain rusted and bar rusted up!

Missing the carb & air filter which i have no idea what they even look like?

And the bad luck the carb cover gone!!!
Which really makes me mad! cause now im gonna have to make one or i dont know if i should even bother???!
After rewinding and pretensioning the recoil 3 turns ,
and giving her a new mix of gas this lil hillbilly ran first pull!

Its either a Farmsaw or a P-41, not both. . Its a P-41 with a farmsaw top handle. 66 cc's, reed valve. Good saws. Lots of parts on ebay.

I wouldn't run it with no air filter for very long.

ya any ideas on making a make shift air cleaner for this old girl? HOME MADE UNITTLL I CAN FIND ONE! dont have MUCH MONEY to spend have to watch my pennys..
But need to cut wood for heat !
BEEN A LONG COLD WINTER ALREADY
Snow up to my A$$ walking around looking for standing deaD~!

EDIT: ok never mind. I missed it the first time. You are set up for the mesh filter and I don't have one. You could use a felt filter if you had an air box rubber. I have a top cover. Let me see what else I can find.

hey bud i work all year in the cold but i just got this old girl!
in the snow or what ever im used to the cold
and im part viking blood
Either that or i have no nerves left in my hands lol
seems on a cold day running saws or working out side my hands are warm???

No. The recoil, flywheel and ignition are different. Pretty much everything else will interchange.

Oh, about $50. Where shall I send it?

I've got one that I did pay $50 for. Guy said it needed a tune up. The H screw on the carb was out about 3 turns.

I have a P-40 that I got for $29 on ebay that had no spark. The points were dirty.
