Want to build a new wood shop 24' x 28' with a full attic above for drying milled wood and storage. My shop I use now is only 16' x 20', I need a shop I can move in as the saw collection and the tool collection just keeps getting better. BTW, I told you guys earlier that I wanted to make some money with some of my milled wood. Making a thresh hold and a mantle for a guy with red oak, trying to speed dry with a walk in cooler, I'll let you know how it works out.

Looking for a load of hemrot logs right now for the project. Right now I have to make things like my router bench short so it can go on a shelf. Looking forward to more room.

Friends, I came up with this theory many years ago and it has proved itself to be corect so many times that I am certain that it should be considered one of the "natural laws" people sometimes refer to. It goes like this::)
"Possesions will acumulate untill they occupy 110% of the available storage space. Adding more storage space will only allow more possessions to acumulate to the 110% mark. If some posessions are disposed of to reduce volume stored, they will eventually be replaced untill the 110% point is once again reached".
In other words, you can NEVER have a big enough shed!!!!!!!:dizzy:
Dennis.

That's why building more freeways will rarely solve traffic congestion.

Oh, dear! Bob, does this mean that my simple observation on a few Bloke's sheds and their contents also has aplications in the wider world?
Or do we just build freeways in the wrong place, build them too late and then never give the traffic enough room to disipate when they get to the end of the freeway?
This is way too serious! Best get back to woodworking and stay off the freeway!:dizzy:

Your shop is pretty well laid out and organized -- compared to mine.

To store much wood on the 2nd floor, the joists will have to be hell for stout. ? ? ?

Looking at 3" x 12", odd dimension, but will take on much more weight.
