Im visiting my parents for a few days before christmas in Jacksonville, and as usual, since my family and friends down there know I do tree work, so they have slated me about a weeks worth of work in 3 days.

Unfortunately, Delta won't allow any gas powered equipment on airplanes, and Im flying from syracuse.

I can always rent a saw from a rental place, but the only saws they are going to have will be a Farm Boss.

If theres anyone in or near jacksonville that has a spare climbing saw, that would be willing to rent it to me for 2 days (12/21-12-22), Id be willing to put a cash deposit down or work out some deal that makes you feel comfortable. Im a competent, full time climber that works for a national tree care company with his own 200t and other saws, I just can't get them to florida.

I know its sort of a longshot, but it sure would make my week a lot easier, not having to lug a farm boss around a tree!

Or if you know a place that will rent a top handled saw, that would make the process a lot easier.

Thanks for your consideration!

traveling saw.

Maybe post it to yourself? You can probably overnight it for less than the cost of rental.

drain the gas and oil, take the bar and chain off so you can pack them in a smaller box, pack it up with files and xtra chains, seal the box up good with tape, (make sure no drips) and ups to your destination. at least you will know what your working with when you get there.
