Hello all! This is my first post and I appreciate all the advice in advance. It seems everybody here is very helpful for the newbee's so I feel pretty comfortable asking questions. So my problem is I have a Stihl 066 that I use for milling on an Alaskan mkIII and I recently acquired a 41" Stihl rollimatic Es bar. I want to mount it up to my 066 but obviously the mount is different for the bigger bars. What's the best way to go about adapting the bigger bar mount to the smaller mount saw, or is it a bad idea?

The large mount Stihls are 14mm and your 66 is 12mm. Options include new custom bolts for your saw or spacers such as coil springs for your 12mm studs. It works just fine putting a large mount on the smaller saws but not the other way. The large mounts are also wider at the tail.

Great thanks frogfarmer! So there is no need to drill a new tensioner hole or oil hole?
