I use to get my stump grinder teeth from a company not too far away- but they closed up their shop.

I run a Rayco 1635 Super Jr. with the Rayco "superteeth" and i really am happy with this setup.

the company i got them from would cut the tips off of the old ones, and put new tips on. these were AWESOME quality. plus, when i sent in old teeth they gave me credit towards free rebuilt teeth.

SO. long story short, what companies provide this service still?

I am in Minnesota so a company in / near the midwest would be ideal to save cost and time on shipping.

thanks in advance.

teeth

I run the same machine. I switched to green teeth several years ago. It's a better tooth and easier to change. you can buy complete sets from the big catalogs, Sherrill, etc. good luck.

do the green teeth slow down the machine at all? bog it down, or plug up with chips and add weight to the wheel?

any additional wear to the cutting wheel from them? my brother has an RG50 and it seems like his wheel has ALOT of wear to it in a pattern my 1635 doesnt wear.

teeth

Greenteath have only improved the performance of my stump grinder. No negatives to report.

my brother has an RG50 with greenteeth on it and he said 2 things-

1- run the smaller teeth
2- something about there are different pockets, his are wearing fast, and maybe try the other pockets. any advice on which pockets to buy ?

I have never used the green teeth, but know several guys who use them and love them.
Those or yellow jackets[what I use] are the way to go .
Who wants to have to use an allen wrench and a breaker bar every time you need to change a tooth instead of a 9/16 wrench?
Between the yellows and the greens I think the old conventional types will become obsolete in the future.

He's probably referring to the "Lo-pro" pockets. I think that's all they sell now anyways. I use those with the 700 series teeth, I believe. Just call greenteeth and tell them what machine you run and what type of soil you are in, they'll know what setup you need.
