I really need to add an elastostart to a 288xp before I lose an arm. Local stihl shop said there are 3-4 different ones, can anyone who has added one to a 288 give me the stihl part number they used. My middle aged body will be very grateful ;)

thanks

The Stihl part is kind of pricey and Bailey's has an aftermarket elasto-start handle available for about half the cost, if you're going to place a Bailey's order anytime soon.

Make sure your rope length is adjusted to be the same or shorter than the Husky length. You'll break your spring if not.
