HI just got a McCULLOCH EAGER BEAVER
Its a 2116av 2.1ci the primer bulb and fuel line was perished and the carb appears to be WAY out of adjustment.
The hi was out 3 full turn and the low was 3 and a half what is the presets for this saw.
And dose the primer suck fuel throw the carb or pump it in.
Any help would be grate i don't know anything about saws with primers all my other saws are choke it and it starts .

I think you could do without the primer, it'll take more pulling to start it, but you can do without it.

I think so. not totally sure. the Eager beaver I have is very different from what you have I'm sure. mine is a top handle 2 CID saw.

Dwayne mate i have at this stage no experiance with the primer setup and like all things great and small it may not work unless its there and operable.
Most needle setting vary between 3/4 to 1 1/4 from the bottoming of the screw the low speed mixture screw is set to give crisp acceleration without faultering and the high speed set so the saw 4 cycles off load but 2 cycles under load.
The best results are by trained and experianced ears.
If your not already deaf and a test in a log to ensure smooth powerful running.
