Stihl carburetor kit
I purchased a carburetor kit for my 041 Farm Boss from my local Stihl dealer. He's a bit pricey (I always ask him if he rides a good horse -- like Jesse James always did in commiting his robberies) and he had to order if for me, but it was only a couple of days, if that, and with it I got advice, which I'll pass on to you. Spread several sections onto the kitchen table, sweep the floor of everything nearby, and when you disassemble, spread the parts out on the paper in the order in which they were removed. It's not complicated, but if you were to drop one of those small parts onto my garage floor, you'd be back buying another kit. Also, there's a small cup shaped filter screen which has to be pressed into a recess. I had to whittle the end of a piece of 1/4" dowel to press it in. On mine, it was that screen that was plugged solid with what looked like was fibrous material from the filter element of the fuel tank suction pickup, so I replaced that also. Gene Gauss
