Need Homelite Super 2 Saw Replacement

I have a Stihl MS251 but it's to heavy for brush and trimming.
I've been using my Homelite Super 2, it now doesn't have spark so I took another Super 2 apart and rebuilt the carb.
I can't get the carb gasket to seal (pressure test) it seems to be to hard (it's OEM kit)
The Super 2 is the perfect saw for me, I only use about 1 to 2 qts. of fuel a year.
I don't have enough years in me to pay $500 for a saw.
I never used a top handle saw, what do you think of 35.2cc Holzfforma® G111 Top Handle ( Stihl 200T copy)
Is there a saw that is as light as the super 2 with the same power?

CS-310 is 8.8 lb.
CS-361P is 8.4 lb. but the dealer doesn't carry that model.
CS-3410 is 8.2 lb. dealer had on stock, it felt bulky and heavier then the Super 2
CS-2511PN is 5.7 lb. pricey $$$, I would think it's a little under powered, that maybe a trade off for weight?

I think you're right...no fully-equal options unless you spend enough to get the smallest pro saws.

Odd that there are not 25cc homeowner saws. Or, not any that I am aware of.

If the NOS gasket is too hard to seal, what about getting fresh gasket material and making one? Or, gasket-plus-Dirko?

Is there somewhere I can send the carb to have it rebuilt?
I could try a Chinese kit, the gasket maybe softer.

The Stihl web site says I can pick one up at my dealer. I don't think that means they have it in stock, necessarily. It's about 500 bucks!

What brand/model is the carb on the Homelite?

while I've got a Super 2 can't us it for the volunteer work I do as lacks current safety stuff...

I own two super 2s. If you want a small top handle, and you want new, the cho cs-271t is 6.6 lbs, and the cs-355t is 8 lbs. I own both, and find them reliable.

Understand! I too am up in the years and not sure how much longer I'll be even handling the Super 2's. Still have the first one I bought on July 25 1975! It has been my main saw for cutting fire wood all these years. Did get a second hand Poulan 2150 when I married second wife but have more trouble getting it started and working than the old Homelite.

I thought I had two, but I have one Super 2, and on LX-30 Bandit, which I believe uses the same engine assembly with a different handle configuration. Anyway, I am never going to use them, so you can have both if you pay the shipping. I am zip code 60451 if you want to research the cost. I just went out and got the Super 2 running, and then got the Bandit to fire off with mix in the carb. (needs a fuel line to the tank.) I'm pretty sure I did carburetor work on the bandit years ago. Please let me know your thoughts.

I use Echo 310's here every day and do heavier cutting than they are intended for! I prefer them cause I can cut off a couple chunks or branches then shut it off and toss stuff out of the way then pick up saw one pull and go cut again, The only other saw that does that is the sthil 170 that I do use a lot. NONE of the other sthils will start that easy. 025 is second easy starter on my truck but 250's, etc. are hard to start when hot,---cold start no problem so when I use them its go til it runs out of gas or I run out out of energy!
