Sorry to be late for the 'guessing' party.....J'reds 621 for sure.

As far as yr....we've never been able to figure out Jonsereds serial #'s fully. Only what is late production, early production etc. Mangus may have a data base on his site for this saw. That would be your best bet in trying to figure out a yr of production.

I have one.....no idea what yr it was made......or care...lol.

recently, tinman or atfleet command drug out a solo saw and was showing the evolutions of saw design. i didnt see it quickly looking. but saw a old jonserered vid, maybe its later in the vid. that flywheel cover looks like a solo

Mine is nice like that. But the seller said "no spark". Took off the flywheel and he tried to rewind the coil on the points plate. Almost funny, but I'll have to give up some parts to put it right. I'm poor with ignition stuff for J'reds that series, so It's OK.

As an aside.....this saw, the 801 and the 80 take those round A/F's. A lot of the saws came with the copper mesh filter....it's garbage. You want the flocked nylon filter and the special A/F cover for it. The only thing saving these saws while using that copper mesh filter is that the cylinder plating is really hard and the crank bearing top-flight etc.
