I was looking at a thread, perhaps a month ago, about a weekend get togather ya'll had. If memory serves it was mostly from 2002, and maybe some posts froom 2004. There was one pic of a giant saw that required 2 to operate, and weighed about 150 lbs. The thread showed pics of different folks cutting short logs on what I call a "bucking horse"with a strap across it to hold it down.

I had planned on making as simliar horse, then I saw that one in the thread and it looked good to me.

Antbody have a link to the thread or know what I'm referring to?

Thanks,

Ray,

Thanks for the thread. Some great pics, but not the one I mentioned. The 2 man saw I refered to, has a man holding the saw up on either side of the powerhead, instead of facing each other.

Anybody else?

Hows about this?

Here is a pic of the finished saw found on that thread on page 4-5 i think.

That's the saw Lumberjack! Now, you wouldn't happen to have a link for that thread, do you???

MasterBlaster, Thanks for the thread! Still not the one I'm trying to locate though.

Newfie, Whooops, I overlooked that link! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Lots of great pics, but, Alas, still not the one. I don't think I dreamed it. Just thought of a couple of more clues, though. All the pics taken showed snow on the ground. I remember somebody posted a pic of a fella named "Hunter", and they commented on how big "Hunter" was. The short log on the bucking horse came to about his knees, while they struck everyone else at about the waist or chest, according to this particular poster.

I thought Gypo Logger would have posted a link here by now, as he was in a lot of the pics, as well as posting a lot of pics in the thread.

Hummnnn, as I said I was falling ill at the time. Maybe I was delirious, and it was all a figment of my imagination!

Any of the clues jog anybodies memory???????

Here's more Predator links.

By the way, Rotax Robert's Predator is 407 lb, and the fastest saw in the world....hp undisclosed, but between 400-700. I got to run it last summer!

Here's a thread where Sedanman builds a log stand:

Turner,

I remember the bit about Hunter. It's in the recent "get together this weekend" thread. I wasn't around for the first 1/2 of it and have not spent the time in it to see everything it offers. I certainly don't recall any two-man sawing in it. At any rate, the post with Hunter is this one. To see the picture, scroll up a couple of posts where Marky Mark attached it. It may be on a previous page for you, I use more posts per page than the default value.

Good luck.

Glen

Thanks Glen,

That's the one I was searching for. Don't know how I got mixed up on the time frame. Feverish mind, I s'pose.

Anyway, thanks to all. I'm glad I lost the thread, or else I would've missed all these great old threads.

Although I've only got a homeowner saw, those pics makes me want to attend one of your rendevous. Although, I'm not sure I'd make it back home!!! :D

Thanks!!
