The main hydro drive motor on my 2005 rg1631 sj stump grinder (same chassis as a rg1635) is shot and too costly to rebuild so needs to be replaced. A rayco tech told me the single-piece Char Lynn motor has been replaced with a 2-pc Parker unit. I could order the part from a ditch witch dealer 3-hours away and have it installed by a local hydraulic repair shop that is also a Parker motor dealer but would rather just have the local shop order it as I think that would make warranty work easier if necessary.

The replacement part number I got (for the Parker motor) from a tech at Rayco manufacturing was SP801015 but the local Parker dealer can't reference that number - must be either a ditch witch or rayco part number and not the actual parker motor number.

Wondering if anyone knows the replacement part number for the new 2-piece Parker hydro drive motor?

thanks, AP

just got a quote from ditch witch for the drive motor/brake using the rayco part number SP801015 and it was $1341 plus shipping. Wow. Really hope someone can come up with the Parker part number so i can price compare with the local dealer and see if they can get it any cheaper. If anything, it might save me shipping since they're local.

How is it to rebuild it? Why dont you install it yourself? Its really easy if its simular to my 1625a sjr

the machine is already sitting at the local shop with the old drive motor torn apart. I was hoping they could rebuild it but they said it would be cost prohibitive with all the damage.

had to cough up the $1300 and buy it through rayco...
