can anybody on here make me a deal with some .404 saw chain? it would be greatly appreciated. it will be for a 32 inch bar will get back with a drive link coun later tonight

chain

am in no hurry as it would be at least next week before i could make payment arrangements. but i still appreciate the help.

why .404? get .063 3/8 it works just fine on those larger powerheads. At least run .063 for .404 I didnt know they had .058 for the larger pitch.

smaller chain

well i would prefer not to change bar. as i cant afford to do so at this point in time.
now if you can work some miracle and make it fit the same bar i would be happy to oblige. :)

also my chain has 98 drivers

See, I tried to tell you thhis saw is just a headache lets just take it off your hands and be done with it. :)

News flash.I think I bought the last of the .404 by .058 full chisel that Baileys had in stock.I could be wrong! Jeff S.,had some .404 semi.

I think I have some .404 by .058 chipper, but it's already looped[old Homelite],it would have to be knocked apart and re rivited for length .Give Grand Dog a shout,Baileys may have a little of it left.At the time, they had about 300 links, and I got 143 ,for a giant old bar for my Homey 2100.Go right to Baileys part of the forum and ask,he will get back with you.

well its like this i cant afford to buy a "new" bar and some chain. so if someone can make me a deal on a bar of at least 32" 36 is preferred. then i can change the chain, and well depending on how much the sprocket will run me is also a good thing to think about. :dizzy:

the bar i have is a Windsor 32"

hmm???

OK was just out working on the oiler and when i took off the rim sprockes it says 3/8 on it. however when i compare the chain i have on that saw to the ones on my others (all running 3/8 chain) the spacing between the rivets is greater by approx 1/8 inch. for this reason i thought it was .404. the chain is sandvik chain and only other numbers are on the drivers. stamped .058.

never came across anything like this before. Any help / ideas?

3/8" by .058

Now that size you can buy by the mile,if you choose to.Baileys has it in stock,at around 22 cents per link, plus a buck or two to make it up.
