Need some help with a Log Splitter Modification.

First, I just want to say thanks for any help up front. I really appreciate it.

I’m looking to add a log lift to my wallenstein WX520. I have attached a picture of the splitter.

I don’t know much about control valves. I know I would need to upgrade to a dual control and also want it to return to center.

Is there anything else I need to think ahead about concerning the control valve?
