New to this furum; but need some help W/ this one.
Have a business owner that wants a beautiful split-top doug fir down.
He wants it cut to just above the split for a carving. This is a healthy tree! The reason he gives is that it is over-hangiing his food serving area.
The details:
It is split at 10 ft up.
Probably 90 ft tall.
1-2 inch included bark.
Full healthy canopy.
This may seam like a moral question .... but ....

What do y'all think???

pics would help. I've done cabling and bracing on split trees before, they grow to this day. Serving food area...pics would help.
