Going after the big end of a 40" sycamore in the morning maybe 35' or so . Friend cut 3 trees but their almost 40 miles away. I turn big bowls pop the center out with a coreing tool and mike turns the ones smaller than 16 '' . We can get 5 or 6 out of half of a section .

Thanks for the pics.

I need to make myself a 4 wheel arch so I can "skid" em up with my old Bolens.

Well I can do that! Here are a few pictures of some sort of old flowering cherry I milled two weeks ago. I split it with the owner of the tree who is in one of the pictures. The center was rotten on the main trunk but we managed a few slabs and some neat cookies from a rotten branch. Now everybody get out there grip and rip it!

John, nice web site. If you ever run out of things to turn on your lathe, I've got walnut, cherry & hedge roots. I live near Neosho, MO. PM me, if you're interested.

Wish I had time to take the cover of my sawmill & play today!
