So I have a Poulan 2700 that runs good for what it is. But if I turn it to far to one side it leaks gas. And was wondering if anyone could help. One more question. Are old craftsman 3.7a and a homelite super xl saws any good? Thanks
Paid 40 for both and they both run

The Poulan 2700 is leaking gas because of a shrunken fuel line. Over time ethanol gas will cause them to harden and shrink in the hole in the top of the tank they pass through, causing a leak. As for the Homelite and Craftsman, both are sturdy well made saws, albeit a bit heavy. That combined with the lack of anti-vibe makes them not the best saws to use for long periods of cutting.

Sweet, I was hoping it would be something easy and not be a nightmare. Thanks man.
And definitely are a bit heavy, but I'm just getting into saws. And all but the craftsman run good, I need a crab for the craftsman. Thanks for the info

I put new fuel line in my poulan 2700 and it's still leaking fuel. Any other recommendations as to wear it might be leaking? @isawben

Did the fuel line pull tight into the gas tank?.
If it's even a little undersized they'll leak
Plus I can't remember on that series
Check for a gas tank vent hose or if it's missing
That's another spot to leak from.

I went a size up on fuel line. And tight might be a understatement lol. It gave me he'll pulling the line into the tank. But it shouldn't leak from the fuel line now

If the fuel leak persists, check the o-ring on the fuel cap, as well as the little rubber duckbill that acts as the tank vent (located in center of cap). They both tend to harden and crack with age.

The super xl is a nice saw with good power even by today's standards. As long as it has good compression you should be able to cut some sizable wood with it.
I got 2 homelite super xl chain saws with bar and chains ill sellem to you for 500 for both
