new 028

[timberturner]

my buddy just got a used 028,

is anyone willing to shed some light on this saw,

or better yet, what would you do ,immediatedly upon receiving a "new" used one ??

use it

Put in fresh fuel, clean air filter, new fuel filter and sparkplug, sharpen chain. It should start easily, idle and perform well.
One of Stihl's best.

do as stihl tech suggested and put that sucker to wk. its the only saw i ever had that if i didnt have a back up saw,it didnt worry me none. the only one i have is one that dont have brake, electronics
or nothin. just the old wood boss . but
it flat stays on the job.
