New Black Diamond Log Splitters available at Farm and Ranch Stores

Dear Arborist members,

We wanted to let you know that we are the new manufacturer for the Black Diamond private label splitters available at many farm and ranch retailers this season. The previous supplier apparently had some issues so it just moved to us this season. You will be able to tell that the splitter is built by us by looking for a Frictionless World decal under the beam, on the back of the tank. They are powered by Briggs engines (where most DHT units are Kohler) and some of the Black Diamond units are powered by Honda GX engines. The prices are aggressive, so visit your local farm and ranch retailer!

Kyle 1!, I assume it is the previous supplier. Our local TSC is blowing them out the door for Can $999 . The new Black Diamond ones look real good though.

Thanks guys. I passed on it. Dad is having 3 trees cut down this week and I usually just rent a splitter but the amount of wood was overwhelming in my head. That was leading to a rushed purchase of a splitter.

Bomgaar now is placing the other supplier's 35T/37T units on sale as well this weekl. Not a bad price at $1300 but if the quality is not there then I guess it does not matter.

I would strongly consider the DHT if I were you. Especially as you will likely be keeping it for a real long time so the few dollars extra now will be well spent over the years. I bet that there are guys on here who have had the same splitter for 25 years or more.

Not 25 years, but this is our third season on a 27 Ton DHT, I am impressed with the splitter itself, and the Kohler engine. That Kohler starts first pull almost every time, and has given me ZERO trouble.

Our 27 Ton was among the last to get a bad batch of Teflon paste on the hydraulic fittings, had some leaking, DHT arranged with Pape' Machinery, my nearest John Deere dealer to clean and reseal all the fittings.

I can attest to DHT KNOWING what Customer SERVICE is all about, I would buy another DHT without hesitation.

OOps, I didn't mean DHT splitters for 25 years, they've only been making them a few. I meant homemade or early factory built splitters. My Speeco is 7 or 8 years old but I seldom use it anymore. I have several others that I bought used that are 3 pth and are likely 20 years old or more.

put electric start motors on them .they to hard to start when cold. i have a 25 ton black diamond.
