as we all know stihl ,,closely followed[ive heard] by the other saw manufacturers dont have a h adjustment on them...
my question is to the posters that have said this is no real problem... there are several links and such,, that take a man thru the adjusting and setting of the old carbs. where is the same for these new carbs.. if we are gonna have to live withum,, ,somebody ought to put out an understandable description of setting the new carbs... that is,, if it really is no problem,as some have said.
this post is not meant to point fingers, ,but simply a request for info that the regular users of this tool,, are going to need.thanks for u time.

Oh F !!

Not a mechanic here. Far from it. Left 020T to be rebuilt, new carb, whole laundry list. Pick saw up yesterday - $300!!! Ask to start first. Saw starts, idles, takes some throttle, then dies.

Mechanic messes with it for a while but can tell I am unimpressed by him gunning the snot out of my saw while fixing Jack Schiznit.

Says fixed jet is problem and he will fix. Yippie skippie. Idiot sales guy asks me to pay balance - I say "No thanks, fix it or give me back the POS I dropped off. I am not paying you to work on my saw, I am paying you to fix it."

This post doesn't instill any confidence.

I need it soon. Removals start tommorrow.

I bought a ms200 when I decided to fix this one. I have some unhealthy emotional attachment to the old 020T. I $300 can give us a few more glorious years together, I am all for it.

my deepest sympathies

??? NEW carb - IF it has a High fixed jet, there's nothing to adjust other than idle... and that's the same as the old carbs...

BTW, most Stihls are back to 2 Jet adjusters, but the H is only "partial" adjustment, but enough... (probably not for AS moders, but..)
