Hi. I got into tree cutting when I bought some property about a year ago. Since then I've been a regular lurker here but not a poster. I've been enjoying the knowledge base here.
Yesterday I broke my saw. It's a Jonsered 2051. The saw was running oddly, it would need constant carburetor adjustment to maintain power. Tune it, set it, run for five minutes, then no top-end, tune it, run for five minutes, repeat. Then it just dies, has no compression. I've disassembled it and I've found scoring on the piston and some marks on the cylinder.
At a minimum I need to replace the piston, do a carburetor rebuild (hopefully fix whatever was ailing it and caused the cylinder to fail), and replace some hoses and other small parts.
I need to know where to look for parts. My googlefoo just isn't getting me to anyone who has anything in stock. Can you fellows point me in the right direction?
