Started my mini mill today when it was slow at work. Need to put a handle on her and she's ready to go. Plan to build a new wood shop with my own lumber, planning to timber frame and then board and batton. Would be a lot faster to buy lumber, but then I wouldn't have an excuse to tinker with all of this stuff, plus I can save a lot milling my own, just losing time. Will use the 6400 for the mini mill and the 045av for the Alaskan. Working on saving up for a bigger saw, but what I have is working quite well so far.

You're really cranking out the milling tools these days. Nothing like using something you made yourself.

Keep it up and thanks for sharing.

A good start but a couple of suggestions for improvement

The length of bolts you have use means
- they will bend slightly and a slight bend translates into a fair bit of movement in tip of the bar.
- The saw will be further from the guide board than necessary so it will tend to tip sideways making a crooked cut. The bar should be a close as possible to the guide board eg the green line rather than the purple line.

The small bolts (eg A) are redundant so could be removed.

Thanks, I see what you mean. need to get some more sqaure stock and maybe do away with the uni-strut. Thanks Bob.

Made the modifications Bob mentioned. Just have the handle left to put on, will put up some pics when done.
