I just received a new 372 that required me to attach the handles and the spurs. Also included was a plastic cylinder approx 1/2 inch in diameter and an inch or so long, and a steel piece that aparently goes through the cylinder. A machine screw was provided and a lock nut that appears to attach all this to something. I called the dealer and they said it went between the 2 spurs. For the life of me, I cant determine where to mount this thing. Help.

Your dealer is right. The plastic piece goes in between the falling dogs, at the bottom. Most people dont install them though as its a pain to change chains with it installed like that.

the chain catch is highly recommened for use by husky. one: it reduces risk of injury, two: it works along with the small piece of rubber behind the chain/sproket cover to protect the fuel tank from damage should the chain de-rail and hit it. marty
