Chainsaw Collectors
ArboristSite Guru
Hey all. New member here in central Wisconsin. I should’ve joined months ago, but haven’t until now. Here‘s a run down of the saws owned by my dad and myself. We are both collectors and users.
My saws:
-Homelite EZ-Automatic: My first chainsaw, grandpa bought it for me for only $5 at yard sale many years ago, had to replace throttle handle assembly and make a gasket and just started rebuilding the carburetor an hour ago.
-McCulloch PM6: my dad acquired this along with his 1-51 as pay for fixing an outboard motor for someone, he gave my the PM6 because I helped him find the correct rebuild kit online for his Craftsman, needs the carb rebuilt or replaced.
-Sthil 011 AVT: bought at auction in a package deal with my Shindawia for $30, installed new pull rope and handle, needs recoil mounting screws and carb rebuilt or replaced, with bar cover
-Shindawia 300: bought in previously mentioned deal, only took 5 minutes to get running, all original manuals and receipt, original owner was someone I know ironically enough
-3 Homelite 150s: got in a deal of 8 saws for $35, other saws for sale, first is blue, needs different clutch cover, proper bar, and carb rebuilt or replaced, 2nd is red, runs/cuts, 3rd is red, mint, with case, broken fuel line.
-2 Senix 4 strokes: first runs and cuts, straight piped, custom alloy pull handle, original pull handle broke so they sent me a whole new saw which I’m keeping in the box as never opened or used.
My dad’s saws: Husquvarna 372XP, bought new 20 yrs ago, still in service/Husquvarna 550 Mark ll, bought new 3 yrs ago/David Bradley 360, he gave me a mobility scooter I sold for it, no spark/McCulloch 1-51, needs carb rebuild/Craftsman, with case, needs fuel line and carb rebuild/Dayton, mint, needs fuel line/Homelite XL12, runs+cuts/Husquvarna 55 Rancher, needs carb
