New MS461

I just spoke to my Stihl rep. He informed me that they are recieveing the MS461 sometime next week and are ready to be ordered then. He had no technical info on the saw which suprised me. Just thought Id stop in and let yall know.

Between this fall and winter we will see more new releases from both companies than usual.
572xp, ms241, ms461, maybe a ms661(but I don't think so). And then there is the Mtronics and AT and Fuel Injection. Let's hope they have more HP and less weight. In my dreams I know but just saying...

For me, this new stuff, so far, so good!

Let me guess! the smaller high rpm saw will keep up or be faster in 6 inch wood so what.
Put a 28 inch bar on both and cut some big Oak and tell me what happens!

Well, I'm going to wait the 461 out until I see someone else try one out. I'm interested in one though and if they end up being better than the 460 then I'll more than likely sale my 660 to buy one. I'd also like to see a few ported to see what can be gained out of them. I'm thinking that they will probably respond well to porting. Most of these newer stratos seem to make nice gains when ported. I'm with Mike, hopefully it won't be any heavier than a 460. It would be awesome if they would start going with the spring AV on these new 461s also.
