hey guys just traded in my 390 for a new 650. OK Ok well i just couln't afford the 660 $248 difference here in VT, needed extra money for possible stihl brush cutter, if i can sneak it past the wife (one new tool a month) 390 was too much like my 346xp. well cant wait to get in the woods

Very curious how it runs!!!! That is a lot bigger price diff. that what we have here, wow!! It was around $200 between a new 460 and a 660!!

Yup.......gotta be careful when it comes to the wife  You know damn well that she would want to put the money to a better use like new curtains for the whole house :hmm3grin2orange: or something else exciting in this area :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Talon

Same here, about 200.00. I guess it vaires state to state and dealer to dealer. We use Stihl's own price tags and its a tad over 200.00 differance between the 460 and 660.

Hows the 650 run, just like a 660 with alittle less grunt which justifies the little less price. Trust me Andy the tree's will not like it,lol.

Welcome JefeVTtreeman,
You may get some &*#!:'%$+ around here about the 650 but for the price its a good saw, bought one about 6 months ago and the price here in Oregon was around $200.00 less then the 660. I got mine with a 32" bar. What are you going to be cutting with it?
Heres what I been hackin on.

pics are always a good thing around here.
Happy cuttin'

Hey Talon,
I wish the wife was looking for curtains here to ward of a saw purchase. I got a 385 husky she got a 184 Cub lo-boy tractor. Man I thought I was spending more. But both had items traded for them and she has been after me to get her a small tractor for yrs now. I hope she has alot of fun on it. My new one is just going to keep her warm this winter.

nothin big left in Vermont

mostly smaller fire wood, nothing but new growth around here the state has been logged out for a while i think 24" round is biggest and thats not rare but not common. i like an 18" bar 1:40 mix

Hehehe........If you would of known this before you married her. I don't know what a 184 Cub lo-boy goes for...LOL! Sounds expensive :hmm3grin2orange: Is your wife high maintenance :help: Your just gonna have to go buy a bigger Husky chainsaw to make it more even :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Talon

The 184 was the last of the lo-boy series made from 1977 to 1980. It only has a little 60 cube motor in it just like the older cub tractors. We got this one for 1600 with a 5 foot woods mower. For the most part they run about 2000 to 2500. Naw she is no where near high maintenance. She helps around the farm with chores and milking. She takes over for me when I am selling at antiques shows too. This year is our first year running the Flea market area at the local show. She's been doing alot of the work on it with me too. I am just thinking in the future she will want bigger and more powerful tractors.
Later
Bob
