New Scanner.....Me In The backyard Maple!

Just got a new scanner. Couldn't resist trying it out here and on the "Off The Topic Forum".

What is up with those trees that go up and down?? All stick. Love to see some of that.

What is a maple anyway?? I have not touched one all year.

What a trip, that could be Oregon. What species conifers are in the background? How long to grow a maple that big in PA?

The conifers are Norway Spruces. They are in a cemetary behind my house. There must be 30 to 40 of them at 80 to 90 ft. each. I counted the rings on this tree, it was roughly 95 to 100 yrs. old.
