I'm in the market for a new tach for the saw's. it would be nice if you guys could let me know what ya got and maybe show a link. Thanks ahead of time.

The fast tach is a great tach with poor instructions. I was able to learn more about its proper use from the link below than i ever could from its printed instructions. Found out i wasnt the only one needing help in understanding it. Maybe there are more clearly written instructions provided nowadays. Its a three page thread but very useful.

I just bought a fast tach. As others have mentioned, the instructions are not very good but the info is available online.

The ON/Mode button is difficult for me to operate. The finger just cant seem to hit it correctly so I have to use the eraser end of a pencil. Other than the poor functioning button, it seems to work well.

Also ordered a works connection hard wired tach for less than half the price. I will get that installed this week and compare the two.

I have the sendec I think it's called from bailey's and I've never really cared for it to be honest.

This past week I just did a ton of mod's to my MS 261

I used FAST-TACH Handheld Digital Tachometer - [DTI FT100] - $85.00 at Edge & Engine

Man was it simple and fast; it took about three cuts underload to get it setup

My only comment (since I haven't used one), is that it is larger than some other tachs, just like the MS261 is larger than most other 50cc saws! :biggrinbounce2::laugh::laugh:

Sorry, the temptation was just too large......
