From searching photos on the interwebs I believe I understand this a bit better now.


There is of course a rubber hose inside the fuel tank. This connects to a metal barb pipe inside the tank.


From there, there is a tract inside the casting which leads to a drilling at the intake port. Therefore there are no further fuel hoses. The intake boot provides the seal between the drilling and the carb body.

Therefore I will rebuild the carb with a kit, replace the intake boot and impulse line. And finally replace the hose inside the fuel tank and fingers crossed that will give it a healthy fuel system to fire up on.
