i went to the farm show the other day in in the show there were 2 husky tents and 3 stihl tents and an ecco tent and dolmar tent. i couold not even come close to the husky tents to even look at the saws cause there were so many people in in them. the dolmar and ecco tents had a half a dozen people in it. the stihl tents maybe had one person in them each. most of the sales men were just sitting down or sleeping. i don't knwo but i think husky has the popular majority vote among farmers.

thhere were no models unless they got german models cause all of the people selling the saws had beards. maybe russian on a second thought.

Husky tent

I do not find what you say surprising.

I sell saws. I get around and look at who is looking at what saws, and where.

Many people like to try something new. Stihl has been the old standard for quality. Curiosity about Husky's performance and quality are bringing new customers to try them. The people on this forum mostly already know the attributes of both brands, and preferences may be aboutgeneral public, I would bet that Husky has the sales momentum going for them at this point in time.

I may be wrong, but from observing the local market, that's my take.

But aside from all this Husky vs Stihl stuff,a perhaps more important things going on is that there is a lot of confusions amoung non pro shoppers about what are full pro models and what are the imitations. I watched a man being sold a plastic crankcase saw the other day when he had specifically asked to be shown the pro models. He obviously wanted to buy top quality and was being misled.

What are other dealers takes on this?

Corrected post. I had a typo in the first one. Sorry.

without hearing what was said in there conversation, i can't say. i've had customers ask for the biggest pro saw thay could buy for under $300.00. well,um,ah.nothing but plastic for under $300.00.all i can say is he needs more money our he has to settle for the plastic cased saw.

or thay ask for a price on a 20" saw. i give them a price on a 036.
WHAT? I CAN GET ONE AT THE BOX STORE FOR $169.95.

hey - customer is always right right? lol:D oh well i called lowes couple of days ago and asked about the biggest husky model saw they carried and the guy said a 20" - lol. i asked if that was a new model number and the manager came on the line and told me that they could not even order the saws they did not have on the shelf.:D i got my 136 for 169.95 lmao:blob2:

im not a dealer but it seems silly for a homeowner who will use his saw mabe 10 times a yr to own a saw, made to be used every day.unless they just want to be able to say they own one o the best. of course i hope they keep on buying them ,cause im always looking forum.later now

Sorry guys about not being at the tents to model for you.
My blonde wig wuz still at the cleaners. (Didn't get done in time.)

Oh,well maybe next time....Rick, Robyn's sidekick;)

the farm show was right at the state fairgrounds in syracuse. it was a good show they filled up 5 buildings wiht equipment and had some awesome wood processors that they were selling. but they had the one that used a chain saw instead of on board hydrolics to cut the chunks. they left it out side in the rain wiht a 066 bolted on it. i was thinking if i had a 9/16" with me i would have had a good saw to put up on e-bay. or to sell to one of you guys.

Hi Guys...Me again.
I always carry a full set of wrenches under my blonde wig when I model at tent shows. I bring home alot of items that end up going on E-bay. By the way, the reason the wig is at the cleaners is because I gargled a chocolate milkshake & things got outta control....Rick / Robyn's sidekick.

Hey Rick, ya creep, what's this about my housewench being pregnant? You were the last one here and I have had the nip and tuck, so your in trouble dude! You better cough up with some support payments ya weirdo cause I have had enough rug rats of my own! And all this time I thought you were just sleeping with my saws ya pervert!

our afair quiet, and here I am reading all about it
on the bloody forum. Its still not to late to terminate
the pregnancy!! Johns got a doctors appointment tommorow
to get his plumbing checked, if it turns out hes still fertile
we're in the clear, cause hes to much into himself to think
I'd ever step out on him!! Plus we'll be rich cause there'll
be a law suit in the works!!
So whos next , I'm safe now since I'm already heavy with
child. I've been thinking about names and I'm looking for
suggestions, I've come up with this as a tribute to all my
cyber buddies, Ricky, Dennis, Walter, Marty, Johnny Johnson
Lambert! Hows that for a handle!!

I've got John cleaning so I've bought myself some time here,
Johns been in a bush all last week so he hasn't had time to
wreck the place, it shouldn't take me too long to straiten the
place out.

I just had to yell at John!! I hallard to him three f ing times to
get me a smoke and three times he walked in the room without
them! Stunned or what.
OK he s got me one finally, I can go on, what else is new with
you guys besides slandering my virgin personality?
This past weekend was fabulous, the weather was great,
sunny and warm, I was itching to get out in my 69 convertible
Mustang, but its up on blocks in the barn and I didn't want
to go to the trouble of getting it out, only to have to re-store
it on Sunday, God roll on June. I'll have to get John to post
a picture of me with my most prize possession once I get it
back on the road. For now I just uncover it once a week
dust it off and fire it up for a few minutes, Its absulutly gorgeous
Slut red with a white rag top and black interior, its got a
351 Windsor stock motor its all original except for the colour.
You can find me in it on the warm summer days, driving around
our country side, I keep a stocked cooler in the trunk for the
od stop. My plates read Robyns 69 ! my modo is
"Go Topless or Go Home!"
Alright I better go for now or John will get upset.(jelous).
By for now . Robyn the house wench.

Howdy Robyn,

Congratulations! (I hope). Does this mean that John is in danger of going domestic? Are we permitted to continue to refer to you as Robyn the house wench? I rather liked that. You come across as quite the lady. Really enjoy you around here although we don't hear from you often enough.
Please continue to cut John off on the short end of the stick.

Regards,
Walt Galer
