Very nice. Thats exactly what I'm looking for. Getting kinda sick of beating up my '03 with firewood.

If you don't mind me asking Clark, What did that set you back? It looks like a good quality item! (thats from the movie Christmas vacation) But Really, How much is one of those? also, Don't let one of those tarp hooks Gaff you (thats why I like loops)

That's a nice looking trailer. What is that, a 5' x 8' with a 3500# axle?

My lights are set right into the back of the frame so it's not an issue for me, but I like the little bit of metal that protects yours. If you think that you'll be finessing that trailer in around trees or stumps, then consider the same concept for the front and rear of your fenders - that will allow your fenders to "slide" off of stumps/trees/etc thereby protecting them from damage.

Good looking trailor. That's what I need for bigger loads than my pickup currently hauls. Price of gas is making it necessary too get as big a load as possible.

Just be VERY careful about weight! A trailer that size can easily hold more wood than the axle and frame are designed to support! We have one about the same size, but with lower sides, and have crossed the scales at a little over 5,000#... NOT a good idea! It's bad on wheel bearings, hubs, tires, springs, and everything else. We try to keep the heavy hauling to our tandem trailer...

Well, actually every man needs more than one trailer. Sort of like the 3 saw plan.

Very nice. Looks like a 5x8 with 3000lb axle. I have that same size utility trailer, just with shorter 15" side rails and no paneling. I usually pile about 1/2 cord on the trailer and 1/2 cord in the pickup bed. Be careful with those taller sides though because it will make it easy to overload that trailer!

Happy firewood hauling!

Good point.

Thanks for the info

It set me back $1000. I think new they run around $1600. 5x10 box and 3500 axle.

It's actually a bit larger than what I was looking for, but couldn't pass this up when it showed up on the local Craigslist.

I'll keep the load size down as I don't plan on traveling too far to get wood.

I Have a 5x10 that I pull behind my Rhino, I pull it up/down hills to get over where I throw my brush into a big Gully. I wish it was a little narrower (the wheels at least) It sometimes makes me smile at the stuff I have pulled it through. Never a whimper from the rhino or trailer. I have also gone through and up stuff without the trailer where everybody who saw it said they should have made the yamaha rhino commercial right here today.
