newbie new saw q's

Hello, this is my first post! I bought a used Jonsered 930 off of our local kijiji for $50.00 it runs well, just needs a chain and dawgs.

Now for the newb questions...

Do I need dawgs for smaller trees here in manitoba? All the saws I've used in the past have had them and I usec them heavily.

Is this any good?! I know Jonsered makes some great saws but is the 930 one of them?

Does ths saw have any quirks I should know about?

Personally I think that series saw is great. I have an old 830 and it is a very torquey saw. Only complaint with it is that it leaks bar oil when sitting. If you cant find dawgs send me a PM, I think that I might have a set left that a friend cut out for me. I gave him a pattern and asked him to cut me a set and he made three sets.
