Hello everyone I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I have a question regarding a older model eager beaver chipper. It has a Ford Industrial 4 cyl. engine. I am looking for a discharg chute for this unit, any ideas as to where I can locate one ? Also I installed a new set of knives on the unit and now I need to adjust them so the chips wont be so thick. Anyone know how to do this ? Thank you John.

Are you looking for the whole chute? or the adjustable piece on the end?..

Set your knife clearance at about .015... But your not going to get chips as fine as a disc chipper...

I go to my morbark dealer for my chipper, sorry no other sources.

My knives are not adjustable for thickness. I can adjust mine so I don't get strings and get chips instead. Thinking about it, I would assume I would have to buy thinner knives to get a thinner chip, which not sure if I can even do. :confused2:

What model morbark do you have?

It is a 1986 Model 200. I called Morbark and they said the knives should be 50 - 100 thousands from the highest knife ? Any ideas how to make these adjustments ?

200 is a disc chipper... You have to move your backing blade closer to your knives. it probably needs to be resurfaced to. I set mine about .020 away... imo .100 is way to far away.

When I first spoke to the gentleman at morbark he said the adjustment should be .30 then he looked it up and stated .50 -.100. How do I make this adjustment ?
